چکیده

We investigate the supercurrent through a quantum dot for the whole range of couplings using the numerical renormalization group method. We find that the Josephson current switches abruptly from a pto a 0-phase as the coupling increases. At intermediate couplings the total spin in the ground state depends on the phase difference between the two superconductors. Our numerical results can explain the crossover in the conductance observed experimentally by Buitelaar et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 89, 256801 (2002)].

Josephson versus Kondo coupling in a Quantum Dot Connected to Two Superconductors

We apply a Gutzwiller-like variational technique to study Josephson conduction across a quantum dot with an odd number of electrons connected to two superconducting leads. Our method projects out all states on the dot but the Kondo singlet and is valid when Kondo correlations are dominant and no Andreev bound states localized at the dot are available for Kondo screening. In these conditions sup...

Fractional Spin and Josephson Effect in Time-Reversal-Invariant Topological Superconductors.

Time-reversal-invariant topological superconducting (TRITOPS) wires are known to host a fractional spin ℏ/4 at their ends. We investigate how this fractional spin affects the Josephson current in a TRITOPS-quantum dot-TRITOPS Josephson junction, describing the wire in a model that can be tuned between a topological and a nontopological phase. We compute the equilibrium Josephson current of the ...

Understanding the Josephson current through a Kondo-correlated quantum dot.

We study the Josephson current 0-π transition of a quantum dot tuned to the Kondo regime. The physics can be quantitatively captured by the numerically exact continuous time quantum Monte Carlo method applied to the single-impurity Anderson model with Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer superconducting leads. For a comparison to an experiment, the tunnel couplings are determined by fitting the normal-sta...

Josephson effects in the junction formed by DIII-class topological and s-wave superconductors with an embedded quantum dot

We investigate the Josephson effects in the junction formed by the indirect coupling between DIII-class topological and s-wave superconductors via an embedded quantum dot. Due to the presence of two kinds of superconductors, three dot-superconductor coupling manners are considered, respectively. As a result, the Josephson current is found to oscillate in period 2π. More importantly, the presenc...

اتصال جوزفسون بین ابررساناهای دمای بالا با ضریب عبور اختیاری

In this paper, a dc Josephson junction between two singlet superconductors (d-wave and s-wave) with arbitrary reflection coefficient has been investigated theoretically. For the case of high Tc superconductors, the c-axes are parallel to an interface with finite transparency and their ab-planes have a mis-orientation. The physics of potential barrier will be demonstrated by a transparency coeff...
